Solar PV, Battery Storage and Heating Support
Our Solar PV & Battery Storage Scheme
This scheme is designed to provide vital assistance to vulnerable, low-income households with existing heating, and an evidenced health condition, made worse by the cold. Affordable Warmth Solutions (AWS), in partnership with Quidos Ltd (a government-approved energy efficiency and accreditation organisation) is delivering Solar PV and Battery Storage installations to eligible homes. This scheme will help reduce energy costs to homes, who otherwise are exposed to energy debt and would not receive support from any other Government programme.
National Grid – Grid for Good Energy Affordability Fund
Our Grid for Good Energy Affordability Fund has been established to support vulnerable, low-income households that do not qualify for Government programmes. AWS is pleased to continue its partnership with National Grid, who have announced additional funding to help households in England and Wales struggling with rising energy costs. Working with other Grid for Good Energy Affordability Fund partners and others, the aim is to help families who are struggling to afford to heat their homes. AWS is partnering with industry experts Quidos Ltd to deliver air source heat pumps and Haydale’s JustHeat electric heating systems; ultra-efficient, low-voltage, graphene-based, underfloor heating panels that provide clean, consistent warmth while using very little energy. This scheme will help more households at risk of fuel poverty stay warm and supported through the winter months.
- Eligibility:
- Someone in the household has a verified health condition worsened by the cold
- Someone in the household is over 70
- A child in the household is in school years 3–7 receiving free school meals
- Low income
This offer is available to both homeowners and private landlords.
